Its a large, fast growing, dense, evergreen conifer tree with upright, columnar to pyramidal, habit and spays of grey green, citrus scented foliage. The branches are slightly flattened and covered with sprays of green scale like leaves. Dark brown cones bear sterile seeds. Cuprocyparis leylandii thrives on a variety of soils, but
